Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (May 25, 2021) in regular session.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Jefferson Elementary Center auditorium at 1103 Plum Street in Parkersburg, W.Va. The meeting is open to the public, though seating is limited due to social distancing and masks are required. The meeting will be broadcast online through Zoom.
Wood County Schools will begin the meeting with the announcement of the WCS Service Personnel of the Year.
The board will consider creation of an Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and Accountability position as well as the suspension of an employee.
The board will meet in executive session to discuss “purchase, sale or lease of real property” as well as pending litigation. Any vote would be taken when the board returns to open session.
